New Zealand 2001/2002
My year in NZ. What can I say. For the ones who haven't been there: I pity
you. For the ones that have been there for more than 6 month - I pity you as well.
For the ones who don't belong to these two groups: GOOD ON YA' MATE!!!
Let's start of with the good stuff. The kiwis - as the inhabitants proudly call
themselves - speak a funny language which is initially hardly understandable for the
non-anglo-american but has a considerable entertainment factor. Besides this little
stumbling block, getting along with kiwis is easy: I experienced those people as being
friendly, open-minded, nature-loving and yes - quite laid back.
